Last week at the Teach Meet in CHCH I heard about a teacher Twitter conversation that happens every weekday morning at 6:30 am NZ called #BFC630NZ. Only 1 question is asked and it is kept to 15 mins spark chat. This great idea was created by @kerriattamatea and @TRPKaiako
I took a quick look last week but was a bit rushed. So, today armed with a bowl of porridge and my laptop I was ready.
Today was a good start to the week with a great topic: 'What does change look like in schools'. What I found interesting was the variety of opinions as well as useful links and documents. I spent some of lunchtime looking through a couple of blog posts and it was time well spent. I also re-tweeted a link to a change management document that the PPTA posted.
All in all, as my porridge disappeared, I thought it was time well spent.

Teach Meet Christchurch
Yesterday Sam McNeill (Director of ICT at StAC) organised and ran the first 'Teach Meet' in Christchurch. This was a brilliant event which saw teachers from across CHCH come together for just over an hour . It was brilliant to listen to other teachers and hear them share something about their practice. Each presenter had the option of speaking for either 2 mins or 7 Min. I spoke on using OneNote as a teacher planner (next blog post). I look forward to the next one.
A link to the blog post can be found here: Teach Meet Christchurch with a wrap up here.
Some key tools covered: Quiver 3D, OneNote, Learning Tools in OneNote, Google Earth, Minecraft...
